Crisis Services provides immediate intervention and mental health assessments to individuals presenting in the Emergency Department with mental health concerns or crisis. This includes providing mental health and risk assessments, clinical impressions, health teaching, collaborating with the interprofessional emergency department care team, and referral to resources within the RVH or the community for additional support as required. Crisis Workers come from varying professional backgrounds and perform a generic crisis role.
