About

General Radiography is a multi-faceted modality that uses small amounts of ionizing radiation to produce images of both bones and internal organs. It is usually the first thing a patient thinks of when they hear the word x-ray. An x-ray (radiograph) is a non-invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging.

Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique that uses x-rays to obtain real-time moving images, like a video.

All of our technologists are registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO

Hours of Service

General Radiography: No appointment necessary between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for all out-patient General Radiography examinations.

Fluoroscopy: By appointment only for all out-patient examinations.

Step-by-step Directions

Street: Gallie Court
Travelling on Georgian Drive you will pass Georgian College and TURN RIGHT into the third entrance at Gallie Court.  After the stop sign, proceed FORWARD and TURN RIGHT into RVH’s Main road entrance.

  •  You will see Rotary Place and RVH entrance signage

Parking: Main
Proceed FORWARD through RVH’s Main road entrance. RVH’s Main parking lot can be found ON YOUR RIGHT.

  • You will see Rotary Place on your right followed by parking gates

Entrance: Main
Enter RVH’s Main building entrance and FOLLOW the Blue Navigation Line to the Main (Blue) elevators.

  • You will pass Café Royale on your right

Department: Medical Imaging
Passing the Main (Blue) elevators, the Imaging Services department is ON YOUR RIGHT.

  • You will see the Imaging Services registration desk
  • Note: You have gone too far if you leave RVH’s Main Lobby
