Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is recruiting for two director positions, beginning June 2022, on its Board of Directors to help guide RVH into its bold, exciting future.
RVH, a dynamic, growing health centre, recruits director candidates who are strongly committed to RVH vision, mission and values, have strong personal and professional integrity, and have experience in a governance oversight role. In a time of fiscal constraint, combined with ongoing population growth and increasing demand for healthcare services, governance leadership can be both challenging and rewarding.
Directors are accountable for the monitoring and oversight of the health centre’s performance goals, ensuring financial accountability, providing feedback and guidance to the CEO, and serve as a link between the health centre and the communities RVH serves.
Most board and committee meetings are scheduled for late afternoons, approximately one to three times per month, as well as annual orientation and education days. In the event of meetings called on short notice, a flexible schedule for potential board members is an asset.
Individuals with governance experience who may also be representative of different backgrounds including, visible minorities, Indigenous and Francophone people, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ2S+ persons, and those who may self-identify with multiple or any intersectionality of self-identification are encouraged to put forward an application. As RVH continues to develop its future South Campus in Innisfil, residents of South Simcoe County are also encouraged to apply.
As per RVH by-laws and corporate policy, applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, be at least 18 years of age and must reside or work in the North Simcoe Muskoka catchment area. Candidates are not eligible if they are an RVH employee, a member of the professional staff, an independent contractor for RVH or a family member of a person referenced herein.
