Joint press release with Town of Innisfil

RVH has partnered with the Town of Innisfil to provide greater access to COVID-19 testing for residents in south Simcoe County.

Today RVH opened an additional COVID-19 Testing Clinic at the Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre in Innisfil. The clinic operates on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4 – 8 p.m. using RVH’s current space within the building.

“Simcoe Muskoka has now moved to the Orange – Restrict zone, and given the high number of COVID patients who don’t exhibit any symptoms, it’s important that people have easy access swab testing,” says Janice Skot, RVH president and CEO. “RVH’s Testing Clinic in Barrie currently tests more than 400 patients each day and demand continues to grow. This new clinic in Innisfil will provide important access for residents in south Simcoe County.”

Patients arriving at the Innisfil COVID-19 Testing Clinic for their pre-booked appointment will be directed to a dedicated entrance near the RVH Health and Wellness Clinics. Patients are encouraged to bring their health card and driver’s license to the pre-booked appointment to make registration easier.

“We’re proud to partner with RVH to ensure local residents have access to convenient and accessible COVID-19 testing options in their home community,” said Mayor Lynn Dollin of the Town of Innisfil. “This testing clinic exemplifies the ongoing collaboration between Innisfil and our community health partners to provide critical services at the Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre.”

Both the Barrie COVID-19 Testing Clinic (located at 29 Sperling Drive) and the Innisfil COVID-19 Testing Clinic operate by appointment only for those that meet provincial testing criteria. Appointments can be booked online by going to the RVH website.
