North Simcoe Muskoka Palliative Care Network - an organization that links you to the right services and supports that you need locally. The Network has a Hospice Palliative Care Consultant team with special skills in pain and symptom management who can help address your needs.

  • Hospice - hospices in our LHIN have bereavement/program coordinators who can tell them about the bereavement counselling the offer. Call 211 or 310-2222 (NSM Healthline) for hospices near you.

  • Gilda's Club - Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka, A FREE cancer support community, providing social and emotional support to all whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - for patients or family members who have an EAP through their or their spouse's employer – free, confidential counselling

  • Family Health Team (FHT) - ask family doctor for a referral to the FHT's social worker

  • Catholic Family Services - walk-in counselling clinics in Barrie, Orillia, Midland, Collingwood, Bracebridge, Alliston and Bradford: www.nsmwalkincounselling.ca

  • Funeral homes - occasionally offer bereavement support
