Cardiac & Renal Inpatient Unit

What to Expect

The Cardiac Renal unit is a 32-bed unit comprised of 20 telemetry beds, isolation, private, semi-private and ward beds. The multidisciplinary team consists of physicians, RN's, RPN's, pharmacist, social worker, dietitian, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, home and community care and patient service clerks.

The team provides care to a wide variety of medical patients. Patients we service include: Cardiac/Telemetry, renal, diabetes, complex geriatric, respiratory, gastrointestinal and general medicine.

The Cardiac Renal team will introduce themselves to you and your loved ones and every shift the team will do a report at your bedside. The staff hourly round on you to meet your needs.

Having a family member admitted to the hospital is an overwhelming experience for patients and families. We welcome all your questions and concerns and there are support resources available to meet you and your loved ones needs. If you're feeling overwhelmed, we encourage you to speak to a member of your healthcare team or a social worker.
