At Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s Foundation (RVH) Annual General Meeting (AGM), Paul Larche was named the new chair of the Foundation Board of Directors and two new board members were welcomed.

RVH’s Foundation extended thanks to outgoing chair Doug Moody for his commitment as chair over the past two years.

Paul has been vice-chair of the Foundation Board of Directors for the past two years, and now commences his term as chair. Paul has extensive experience in board governance, deep communications skills and expertise helping organizations achieve their strategic plan. As President and CEO of Larche Communications Inc., a media company and digital branding agency, Paul has been involved with RVH for well over a decade.

Also at the AGM, the RVH Foundation Board welcomed two new outstanding community leaders from Innisfil and Barrie.

Anne Kell, who recently held the positions of chair of the Innisfil Library and president of the Innisfil Rotary Club, brings her community building skills to the board. Anne is on the founding Board of Christmas for Kids, which services vulnerable children and families in Innisfil. Anne has also done international humanitarian work with Loaves and Fishes.

Steve Blanchet, a former Board Chair for RVH’s board of directors, has also joined the Foundation’s board. The co-chair of RVH’s Moments Matter Campaign, Steve has seen first-hand the impact donors have on patient care. Steve is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Barrie, current chair of the board of directors for MOB Beauty and former owner of CSR Cosmetic Solutions Inc.

“As we all begin to recover from the pandemic, these are the exceptional and respected community leaders RVH Foundation needs in order to inspire and mobilize a community effort to change the future of health care in the region through our Moments Matter Campaign,” says Pamela Ross, Foundation CEO. “Our success relies on senior volunteers who have the community in their hearts, so are we profoundly grateful that they have chosen to serve the community they love through us.”
