“This place is very impressive, and the people are so great!”
This was the message from Premier Doug Ford earlier today when he visited Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), accompanied by Doug Downey, Attorney General and MPP Barrie–Springwater–Oro-Medonte, and Andrea Khanjin, MPP Barrie–Innisfil.
Janice Skot, RVH President and CEO, had the opportunity to share RVH’s exciting vision for the future with the Premier as she showed renderings of the ambitious, two-site capital plan which includes doubling the size of the current facility and building a new South Campus.
The visit included a tour of the Regional Pandemic Response Unit (PRU), led by Dr. Derek Benjamin, Chief of Medicine and Tracey Fletcher, Operations Director Medicine, Innisfil Health and Wellness Centre (Rizzardo) and the PRU, where the Premier spoke with a patient recovering from surgery.
