To be automatically notified of new career opportunities at RVH, you can create a job search agent with criteria of jobs in which you would be interested. When a job is posted, meeting your criteria, you will be notified via email. With our recent system upgrade all existing job search agents created prior to August 17, 2017 will need to be recreated.

To create a Job Search Agent, search our careers and save your search criteria as a Job Search Agent. It will then do the searching for you and e-mail those jobs to you!
All applicants may experience a different recruitment process depending on the position they have applied for. A variety of methods are used for screening potential candidates; some of these have been listed below:
There are three types of interviews that are currently employed by our Human Resources staff:
Telephone: These may be used to conduct the first round of interviews for potential candidates.
Behavioural Interviews: Conducted in person, these are meant to examine the competency and skill level of our job applicants. Typically, this involves meeting with a hiring manager and it might also include a panel depending on the position that was applied for.
Peer Interview: Many of the positions offered at RVH typically includes a peer interview during the hiring process. This is an opportunity for the candidates to meet with a group of peers from the health centre to discuss both skills and previous work experience relating to the desired role.
Testing (If applicable)
This component has the candidate undergo an assessment of their skills or knowledge in a specific area and it includes their ability to acquire further knowledge if required to do so. These are conducted electronically or on paper. More specific technical assessments can also measure a candidate’s skills within a given function.
Some positions in the health centre may require the use of other exercises such as a presentation. These will be relevant to the role that has been applied for and adequate time is given in order to prepare for these. Please contact the Human Resources department should you require any accommodations while preparing.
What Happens Next?
Once the process has been completed, all candidates will receive a notification with regards to their application status. The procedure will then continue in one of two ways:
• If a candidate receives notification that they were
unsuccessful in their application, RVH is more than
happy to provide constructive feedback if it is requested.
• If a candidate receives notice that their application
was successful, they will be invited to the next step
of the recruitment process. This is
mandatory for all applicants, and it includes a list of professional
references, verification of academic training, and professional accreditation. Furthermore, all candidates
must submit a current Criminal Records Check and a Vulnerable Sector Screening.

How to Apply for Jobs Internally
All current RVH employees must use the Career Opportunities section in the PeopleSoft Self-Service Resource Centre to search and apply for jobs. It can be accessed by following the instructions below or by following this link to the Peoplesoft Webpage.
Steps to Apply
Step 1: Go to the RVH website and select the LOGIN icon at the top right of the home page
Step 2: Select the Employee Self-Service login button. You will then be redirected
Step 3: After you have been redirected, please select the PeopleSoft link
Step 4: Enter your username and password to log into the system. If you have any problems or if you have forgotten your username/password, please contact the Human Resources department
Step 5: Select the Self-Service Resource Centre
Step 6: Click on the Career Opportunities section, and you will be redirected to the internal Career Centre
