Radio for Radiation Radiothon Wednesday May 23rd  – Thursday May 24th, 2012             On Wednesday, May 23rd and Thursday May 24th we'll be LIVE at The Georgian Mall both days from 5:30 am to 9:00 pm. Every dollar raised will go towards the Radio For Radiation campaign to benefit the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre in support of a CT Simulator suite The CT Simulator is a diagnostic CT scanner, linked to special radiotherapy treatment planning software, with some minor modifications to aid in the specific positioning of patients for their radiotherapy treatment. The CT images allow visualization of internal structures (tissues, organs, bones). The CT images are loaded into the treatment planning software and together with the Radiation Oncologist, the Radiation Therapist will design and calculate the treatment plan to meet the dose objectives as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.   For more information on the R4R campaign click here. 2nd Annual Ben Mueller Memorial Golf Tournament Saturday, May 26, 2012         The family and friends of Ben Mueller continue in their commitment to bring care closer to home for patients throughout Simcoe and Muskoka in his memory. This year’s tournament will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Bear Creek Golf Club.
